It does take a longer time to purify the tallow but it is the best method (in our opinion) to render tallow for cooking or making soap, tallow balm, or candles with no beef smell.What I really like about this method is that it isn't technically a refining process. None of the nutrients or beneficial properties of the tallow are altered, as they would be in refined and deodorized tallow that is available commercially.
